Each season we source open pollinated seeds and grow seedlings for sale to the local community.
All varieties are grown out in our gardens and our favorite ones are selected for seed stock. We take great care to pheno-hunt excellent producers that are robust, healthy and beautiful. We allow the best plants of our favorite varieties to seed out so that we can add their genetics to our seed collection.
Since our beginning in 2010 we have saved dozens of OP and heirloom seeds types and some of our varieties are now in their 7th and 8th generation. We track the lunar signs they are planted in and aim to regrow them each subsequent season in a different sign until we achieve all twelve.
Our seeds tend to germinate quicker, grow faster and demonstrate stronger vitality than their commercial counterpart of the same variety. Some of our peppers have even demonstrated stronger frost resistance after 7 generations compared to seeds in their 2nd and 3rd generations
If you're looking for solid locally adapted OP garden seeds please consider our stock.
